This Privacy Policy explains what information Eliit collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. It applies to the Eliit website, the Eliit application, and any related services we operate.
§01 Who we are
Eliit is operated by Eliit LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Idaho, United States. Throughout this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Eliit LLC. "You" refers to the person using our services.
For any question about this policy or how your data is handled, contact us at hello@traineliit.com.
§02 What we collect
Eliit is a coaching platform — the data we collect is the data that makes your plan personal. We group it into four categories.
Account and profile information
- Name, email address, and authentication credentials (managed by Amazon Cognito)
- Date of birth, sex, body weight, and unit preferences
- Years of triathlon / endurance experience
- Training availability (weekly hours, preferred days and times)
- Race goals and target dates
Health and training data
This is biometric and performance data, which we treat with extra care:
- Thresholds: Functional Threshold Power (cycling), Critical Speed (running), Critical Swim Speed (swim)
- Heart-rate data: resting, maximum, and in-activity time series
- Heart rate variability (HRV) if you choose to provide it
- Activity data imported from your devices: power, pace, cadence, GPS, elevation, and other sensor streams
- Structured workout files you export to your watch and the completed-activity records that return from it
Coaching interaction data
- Rating of perceived exertion (RPE) and perceived-difficulty ratings after workouts
- Free-text notes you leave on activities
- Morning check-in data: sleep hours, energy level, and optional notes
- Answers to prompts from the "Coach's Desk" feature
Technical data
- IP address, approximate geographic region derived from it, browser type and version, operating system, and device type
- Referring URL and the pages you visit within our services
- Timestamps of requests, for operational and security purposes
We also collect information you submit via the beta-access form on our website: your email address, your stated reason for wanting access, and basic metadata about the submission.
§03 How we use your data
We use your data for a small set of well-defined purposes.
Delivering the service
To build and maintain your personalized training plan, analyze your tests and activities, generate coaching narratives, send you transactional email about your account, and operate the app.
Improving the engine
We may use your data — typically in aggregated or de-identified form — to improve the algorithms that power training plans and coaching analysis. When we use identifiable data for research or model improvement, we do so under appropriate safeguards and only for the purpose of making Eliit better for athletes.
Communicating with you
We send transactional messages (password resets, account notifications, beta invitations) via Amazon Simple Email Service. During the private beta we may occasionally email you product updates or feedback requests. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
Security and fraud prevention
We use request metadata to detect abuse, prevent unauthorized access, and investigate incidents that may affect the service or other users.
Legal compliance
We retain and disclose data where required to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Eliit, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
§04 Who we share with
We share limited data with service providers that help us run Eliit. Each is bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS). Hosting, database storage, authentication (Cognito), file storage (S3), transactional email (SES), and AI model access (Bedrock). AWS processes all data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
- Anthropic (via AWS Bedrock). We use Anthropic's Claude models, accessed through AWS Bedrock, to generate coaching narratives from your test and training data. Data sent to the model is used only to generate your response; AWS does not log the inputs for Anthropic's training.
- Garmin. If you choose to connect a Garmin account or import files from a Garmin device, your data is exchanged with Garmin under their terms and privacy policy. We only receive what you authorize.
- Cloudflare. Content delivery, DNS, and bot-protection (Turnstile) for our website.
We may also disclose information:
- In response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process
- In a medical or safety emergency where disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm
- To a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — subject to this policy, and with notice to you
§05 Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. If you request account deletion:
- Within 30 days, your data enters a soft-delete state where it is removed from the product but recoverable on request.
- Within 90 days, we complete a full purge of identifiable data from our production systems.
- We may retain certain records longer where required by law (for example, security logs, or transactional records tied to any future paid service).
- Aggregated and fully de-identified statistics may be retained indefinitely and are not considered personal data.
§06 Your rights
Regardless of where you live, we extend the following rights to all Eliit users:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your data, subject to the retention rules in §05.
- Portability. Receive your data in a machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another service.
- Objection and restriction. Object to specific processing activities (such as model-improvement research), or ask us to restrict processing pending a decision.
- Withdraw consent. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
- Lodge a complaint. You have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@traineliit.com. We'll verify your identity and respond within 30 days.
§07 Security
We protect your data with industry-standard practices, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) for all web and API traffic
- Encryption at rest for databases and object storage
- Access controls limiting engineer access to production data on a need-to-know basis
- Authentication and account-security controls provided by Amazon Cognito
No security measure is perfect. In the event of a data breach that materially affects you, we will notify you without undue delay, as required by applicable law.
§08 International transfers
Eliit is operated from the United States. If you use our services from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on appropriate legal mechanisms for cross-border transfers, including standard contractual clauses with our service providers where required.
§09 Cookies & tracking
Our marketing website (traineliit.com) does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking. Our app (app.traineliit.com) uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use behavioral advertising, and we do not honor or require cookie consent banners because we do not drop non-essential cookies.
If we add analytics or other tracking in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain consent.
§10 Children
Eliit is intended for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to use our services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at hello@traineliit.com and we will delete it.
§11 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. When we make a change that materially affects your rights or how we handle your data, we will notify you by email and/or through the app before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
